Fall Term Planning

Hey everybody! we've got the schedule for fall term ready, but if you would especially like to see something lets us know, we will cater to our GB. just leave us a comment and we'll see what we can do. It's a packed term so i hope we can get in things that everybody can get into. There's a lot of community service (one a month) and some academic and professional meetings to help out your younger freshman and well as entice and educate our upperclassmen and alumni. and i would like to announce the return of.......FAMILIAS! it's been talked about a lot and i think this year definitely calls for it, so everyone better show up to meetings to hang out, chill, get to know your familia and educate yourself! i hope everyone is looking forward to the meeting as much as i am.

and if anyone has any fundraising ideas let us know, we need some money guys!

End of Term BBQ w/ ASME

Hello SHPE Familia! Finals are coming up next week so to help relieve some of the stress SHPE and ASME is having a BBQ this Friday at 3PM on the volleyball courts across from Buckley Green. Come in beach attire and be ready for some fun in the sun. We will be providing volleyballs and waterguns as well as some hamburgers n hotdogs. We hope to see you there!

Six Flags Fundraising

I want to just say a super huge thank you to everyone that came out to six flags on sunday the 7th to help fundraise for SHPE. They really put us to task for our money making efforts and despite the long day on our feet we did get to ride a couple of rides at the end of the night that made it well worth it.

Also thanks to Chi Upsilon Sigma for coming out with us, it was a last moment thing since neither club had the required number of volunteers (10 people per org). They were super great to work with and we bonded over our shared labor.

Another special thank you to Ricardo Limon, one of our favorite alumni, for helping us out by providing a car and his time and efforts. Many hugs and kisses for giving back!

In the end SHPE raised about $350.00 and gained 7 free tickets to enjoy at a later date. So, we did good, made some new international friends and most importantly made that money!
