Great Adventure Fund Raising Date Changed

There has been a change in plan. We will be going on Sunday August 7th from 12-8 pm. We changed the date because we could only get a 4-12 PM shift on Saturday which would be too late. Nothing else changes. Please let us know if you confirmed to go before but now cannot make it. There are many clothing, facial hair, earring, etc rules that we must adhere so I will post the important parts of the list under comments. Otherwise you can email me at Cfl24@drexel.edu for the complete list. All volunteers must be inside the park at 11 AM meaning we will leave here no later than 9 AM so we can get breakfast and go. As always we will meet in front of Myers.

Scavenger Hunt

This wednesday we'll be hosting SHPE's first InterOrg Scavenger Hunt. You'll get to meet members from WISE, ASME, SWE, and PennSHPE and learn about their organizations and what they do on campus. So this is a great networking opportunity if you're looking to hold an eboard position in an organization pertaining to your major or if you'd just like to meet some new people. Either way it should be lots of fun and of course THERE WILL BE PRIZES!!! Good prizes too! You might even want to bring a camera ; ) to capture some of the fun...

Just click on the link on the right hand side and go to MEMBERS > SHPE Life and choose the videos you want to watch. Pics are coming soon but keep your eyes peeled for future updates. Summer Bash is Upon Us!!!

WOOT!! SPRING BREAK!!! Well, not really. But Summer Bash is coming up so start saving money and break out the bathing suits cuz August 13-14 SHPE is headed to Williamsburg Virginia. Registration fee is $35 which includes tents and all meals. A $5 discount will be given for each tent brought.

Roller Skating

This Friday, July 22nd, we're going to The Palace Roller Rink. Group discounts are given only to groups of 15 or more. The group discount is 50cents of general admission and free skate rental. We went a couple years ago and it was mad fun. I am willing to drive my van which can hold like 7-8 people. So we might need one or two more cars. ANY VOLUNTEERS??? Six Flags Great Adventure

Hello SHPE Familia! Saturday August 6th DU SHPE will be volunteering at Six Flags Great Adventure to raise funds for members interested in going to one of our future conferences. We will volunteer for one shift (usu. 8hours) and the money raised will go to our bank account. Volunteers will be awarded FREE ADMISSION good for any day this summer, discounted meals at the park, AND you will be offered discounted registration fees for ANY conference of your choice. This is a great opportunity to volunteer as well as develop yourself professionally by attending of one SHPE's conferences.

OMG! Thanks a lot to everyone who came out and helped with volunteering for the Hispanic Fiesta. Your invaluable was much appreciated and highly praised by all the coordiantors of El Concilio. And they are really excited to work with us in the future, so look for upcoming events like tutoring with El Concilio. And there was an amazing job done by our external VP Jose getting to know the sponsors of Hispanic Fiesta and chatting it up with the coordinators of El Concilio.

So thank you guys for everything it was trully appreciated.

REMINDER: HISPANIC FIESTA VOLUNTEERS

We have successfully recruited 12 volunteers for this weekend's Hispanic Fiesta held by El Concilio. They are very excited about Drexel SHPE lending a helping hand. We will be meeting in front of Myers Hall Saturday and Sunday morning 7:00am. Transportation will be provided to but not from Penn's landing. Free lunch and dinner will be provided as well as free t-shirts for volunteers.
